Being a bilingual mother with a preteen and toddler twins, its important for me to incorporate my Hispanic roots into the lives of my children.  Teaching the Spanish language to my kids and keeping my own Spanish speaking skills intact is part of my daily routine.  For young children, its a helpful to have educational programming that is in Spanish to assist with learning of the Spanish language.  Trying to be a well versed mother, I try to attain resourceful information especially in the fields of parenting, household management, and health issues.  A network helping all Hispanic mothers with their needs is Discovery Familia.

Shows such as: My Big Big Friend, Animal Mechanicals and Fluffy Gardens carry preschoolers to amazing worlds of exploration and offer a safe haven where moms and their children can interact and share quality time.  
In most Spanish language networks, nighttime is often saved for telenovelas, the Spanish language soap operas that many Hispanic women enjoy at night.
