As the last days of summer vacation are nearing, families are preparing children and students to head back-to-school.  Summer accessories are being packed away for new backpacks, lunchboxes and school supplies.  Even though I live in Florida now–which can be summer weather all year–I am preparing my teen and toddler boys for the new school year.  Getting up and going to sleep earlier for the school year versus the long summer days and nights is always an adjustment.  I want my boys to have a healthy start in the morning by eating breakfast.

  6. Our favorite breakfast is a protein smoothie with Shaklee protein powder and frozen fruits mixed in the blender with milk! The special “treat” breakfasts the kids enjoy include waffles and pancakes of course with sausage or bacon to be sure they get their protein in too. We love occasional cinnamon toast, so this giveaway would be great 🙂

    We – meaning my husband – only make breakfast on the weekends. During the week, the hubs & I eat during our commute and our son – a bowl of cereal. Maybe some muffins or yogurt. He’s fussy especially in the morning.

  28. My sister makes some pretty darn good home made buttermilk pancakes. Sometimes I eat them with no butter or syrup. But if I want to really have a authentic Mexican breakfast nothing beats chilaquiles con queso fresco!! That’s my favorite breakfast of all time!
