As I watched the new second season of the show V on ABC, I found myself wondering what would happen if “visitors” or aliens would come to earth? We all have images of what extraterrestrials might look like and many think they will look like green little creatures coming to dominate the earth. With V, the aliens do not look foreign, they look just like every human being on earth. If you saw one working on the street, you would not be able detect that they were any different than us.
The first season of V showed how the visitors came to earth and how humans were mostly receptive to them. The visitors possessed medical technology that seemed to bring cures to earth’s illnesses, shared science advances, and promoted peace. With such a seemingly wonderful alliance, many humans on earth revered and loved the visitors. However, being a somewhat of a skeptic, I appreciated seeing that not everyone was believing the visitors’ agenda. In the second season, the true nature underneath the human skin and mission against humankind is revealed. The visitors mission for “peace” only hides a much sinister plot for the world’s annihilation.
