Evenflo’s Savvy Parents Survey states some of the common concerns while driving with the kids:
  • The biggest worry parents have when taking car trips is that their young child will be harmed in a collision (76%)
  • Integral to a safe ride is proper car-seat installation, but a full 65% of mothers and 72% of fathers encounter challenges when installing car seats
  • Nearly half (49%) admit that installing the car seat caused them to sweat more than actually making the baby did! 🙂
  • Some 48% of parents worry about keeping their child entertained while in their car seat.
  • 34% worry that their little Houdini will wiggle out of the car seat
  • 32% worry their child will have a temper tantrum

Evenflo’s Savvy Parents Survey indicated that preparation and creativity is the key to keeping car-seat-strapped kids happy (and to help reduce meltdown tantrums):

  • 72% of parents stock the car with toys
  • 54% rely on Cheerios and Goldfish snacks
  • 37% leave behind at least a dozen Cheerios in their seat after a road trip
  • 11% leave enough Cheerios for tomorrow morning’s breakfast bowl
  • 46% sing silly songs
  • 36% play DVDs
  • 27% keep books on hand.

  2. I LOVE THE EVENFLO PRODUCTS I HAVE, WE USE THE INSULATED BAGS FOR SNACKS, AN EXCERSAUCER, BREAST PUMP, AND THE CHILD SAFETY GATE:)
    TRAVEL FOR OUR FAMILY OF 5 TAKES A LITTLE WORK. WE CARRY BOOKS FOR OUR 2YO HE REALLY LIKES TO READ NUMBERS & ALPHABETS NOW. THE 8MO STILL SLEEPS SOME. BUT WHEN HE GETS FUSSY WE SING TO HIM.

  20. We have 5 children and travel with all of them a lot. My favorite product and travel tip is keeping the chlorine free wipes in the main part of our van for easy and safe face/hand clean ups. I even like to keep the wipes in hubby’s car for the times he takes kids to their functions.

  26. My best tip for a road trip is make sure to stop often at a place where the kids can get out and get active. It really helps them burn up some energy and breaks up the trip for them.

    I have always been a fan of the basic glass Evenflo bottles. I started all of my babies with these because I was a freak about sterilizing and these held up to boiling.

  31. I visited the site! Some tips are to leave at night, if possible, bring lots of “new” toys (ones that you have hidden from them for a week :)), and be prepared to stop!
