MIAMI, FL — November 1, 2024 — (NOTICIAS NEWSWIRE) — The 55th Ibero-American Festival of Creativity (FIAP) announced its metal winners on October 10th, recognizing 206 outstanding campaigns. The awards included 4 Grandes Soles, 1 Special Mention, 46 Golds, 69 Silvers, and 86 Bronzes, showcasing the most innovative and impactful advertising work from across Latin America.

The celebration doesn't stop there. During Advertising Week LatAm (November 5-7), the festival will conclude with an exclusive in-person gala at the renowned Papalote del Niño Museum in Mexico City on November 6.

The in-person gala promises a unique and immersive experience, featuring the presentation of the prestigious Great Suns of Ibero-America, the induction of new members into the Hall of Fame, and the highly anticipated annual special awards. These awards include Agency of the Year, Independent Agency of the Year, Network of the Year, Advertiser of the Year, Production Company of the Year, and other exciting surprises like the Grand Slam.

Peru made history at FIAP 2024. For the first time in the festival's 55-year history, a single country, Peru, claimed Grandes Soles in all four disciplines. Circus Grey Peru will ascend the stage three times to receive the FIAP Grand Prix for Formats, Innovation, and Ads for their "Sightwalks - Veredas que guian" campaign for Cemento Sol. Meanwhile, Fahrenheit DDB Peru will be honored with the Gran Sol for their "Cancer before cancer" campaign for the Peruvian Cancer Foundation.

That evening, acclaimed siblings Andy and Bárbara Muschietti will be inducted into the FIAP Hall of Fame, recognizing their extraordinary contributions to the Ibero-American and global creative industries. This honor, sponsored by the International Advertising Association (IAA), celebrates the remarkable careers of these Argentinian filmmakers who have made a lasting impact on the world of horror cinema and audiovisual storytelling.

And, for the third time, FIAP will present the Grand Slam, a ranking that recognizes the most creative agencies in Ibero-America by calculating their performance at Cannes Lions, FIAP, and various local festivals.

In addition, attendees of Advertising Week LatAm will have the opportunity to participate in several engaging in-person sessions organized by FIAP 2024 and PRODU. These sessions, moderated by Mara Fernández, Chief Transformation Officer of PRODY and General Manager of FIAP, will delve into various industry topics:

- Brandtertainment & Hacking Culture: Breaking Borders in Brand Connection. This presentation will explore how Brandtertainment and Pop Culture Hacking are revolutionizing brand-audience connections, with a focus on the critical role of production. A panel discussion featuring Tanya De Poli (Founder & CEO, FOUNDERS), Checha Agost Carreño (Founder & CCO, FOUNDERS), Delfina Lamino (CEO, TooManyMuch), and Francisco Diz (Director, Canoa Films) will take place on Tuesday, November 5th at 12:40 PM (CDMX).

- Building Universes: Lessons from Cinema for Advertising in the Transmedia Content Era. This Fireside Chat will feature newly inducted FIAP Hall of Fame members, siblings Barbara and Andy Muschietti. The discussion will delve into how the creators of the global hit "It" and the series "Welcome to Derry" have applied their expertise in building cinematic universes to the advertising world. This session will take place on Wednesday, November 6th at 11:50 AM (CDMX).

- Between Innovation and Social Responsibility: Reality or Marketing Strategy? This panel will critically examine how the advertising industry is leveraging creativity and innovation to not only engage audiences but also address pressing social issues in Latin America. The discussion will feature Verónica Ruíz del Vizo (CEO, Amarillo Creative Lab), Juan Camilo Rodríguez (CEO, Dirty Kitchen), and Alberto Pardo (CEO, Adsmovil). The panel will take place on Thursday, November 7th at 3:10 PM (CDMX).

This year, FIAP is proud to partner with important brands to promote creativity in Latin America. Adsmovil sponsors the Formats discipline, Amarillo Creative Lab sponsors the Innovation discipline, and Dirty Kitchen sponsors the Ads discipline. Additionally, Audio Network, Altered.LA, and Heineken are sponsors of the After Party.

For FIAP 2024, Humo Rojo created the "Intelligent Creativity" campaign, highlighting the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance creativity in the advertising industry. The campaign video, "Featuring AI," stars trap music artist Emanuel Ruggiero, known as Abalam 666. The video was directed by Lucas Murillo and Alexandr Tananov (co-director and partner, and co-director of Not Normal), with music production, mixing, and mastering by Suena Polenta's Federico Amaya and Matías Berdiales. David Arafat (a.k.a. Pezcao) developed the AI elements, and Flow Studio LA handled the special effects (VFX). The video was recorded at Doslobos.

The holidays can be beautiful… but for many grieving parents — especially special needs parents — this season hurts in ways most people never see.

Between disrupted routines, sensory overload, and the ache of missing someone you love, December can feel overwhelming. And here’s what most don’t realize:

Nearly HALF of Christians stop attending church after losing a loved one… not because they’ve lost their faith, but because they feel the church doesn’t know how to walk with them through grief.
These families aren’t leaving God —
they’re leaving because they feel unseen in their pain.

As someone who advocates for families of ALL abilities, I’m sharing a new blog post today on how we can support grieving loved ones — especially special needs parents — with compassion, faith, and presence this holiday season.

If someone in your life is grieving, please don’t stay silent.
Say their loved one’s name.
Offer specific help.
Create space for their emotions.
Pray with them.
Walk with them — gently, consistently, faithfully.

Because no parent should have to grieve alone during the holidays.

🏆 Earlier this week, I was once again filled with thankfulness, love, and faith.
🏆 I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Home Health Care USA for naming me the “Latina American Caregiver of the Year!”
🏆 Caregivers are among the unsung heroes in our society, and there are many different types of caregivers. For instance, the “Sandwich Generation” refers to individuals who are caring for both their aging parents and their children simultaneously. These caregivers often provide physical, emotional, and financial support. More than 50% of Americans in their 40s and 50s are currently caring for both their children and their senior parents—and usually without any help from extended family.
🏆 Some caregivers dedicate their entire lives to caring for a child—or children—with disabilities into adulthood. Unfortunately, many caregiving parents or family members do not get a break or have quality time for themselves. About 50% of couples with special needs or neurodiverse children end up getting divorced.
🏆 Having experienced both of these caregiving situations and still living within them, being named “Latina American Caregiver of the Year” means more to me than just an award. It symbolizes the millions of unpaid caretakers across the country who provide loving, effective care for family members or friends.
🏆 I also want to extend my gratitude to all those who have followed my caregiving journey the past 17 years, including my care for my beloved late parents and my superhero, Joshua, on my social channels, Mami of Multiples, and Dr. Joscelyn Ramos Campbell. The BEST is yet to come! 🙌
🌎 Lastly, congratulations to all my fellow winners standing on stage. Your work in your communities helps make the world a better place!
