Do you know about Ronald McDonald House Charities (RHMC)?  RHMC provides stability and resources for families everywhere by helping a sick child fight their illness takes a big enough emotional toll on a family.

Adding a financial strain can make it all almost too much to bear. RMHC can help address those problems, whether they involve housing that’s near a hospitalized child, the expense of staying together in another city, or even getting basic medical and dental care in a vulnerable community. These programs can be found in more than 290 local Chapters in 58 countries and regions.

We recently had the opportunity to preview Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida’s Appetite for the Arches Fundraising Event that will be occurring at the Orlando World Center Marriott on Saturday, March 1 at 7PM.

At Appetite for the Arches, some of Central Florida’s finest chefs will create an assortment of culinary delights using McDonald’s ingredients.

That’s right…the dishes will be created with McDonald’s ingredients and this not your average fast food cuisine!

The chef’s signature dishes will showcase their creativity and skills, as well as the quality and freshness of McDonald’s ingredients.
We were able to sample some of the unique dishes from local favorites like The Rusty Spoon, K Restaurant, Cask & Larder, and the hosting preview restaurant, The Ravenous Pig.

It was amazing to see the beautiful (and tasty) dishes the chefs created using McDonald’s ingredients as a base or the main ingredient. Chef Petrakis from Cask & Larder made a pretty Brandade Fritter, Smoked Tomato Bolognese that was made with McDonald’s fish filets, hamburger, pork sausage, bacon and cherry tomatoes.

Chef Fonzo from K Restaurant made a Latin-inspired Chipotle BBQ Beef Enchilada, Caramelized Onions and Southwestern Veggie Salad.

Chef Petrakis from The Ravenous Pig made a delicious sweet treat of Carmel Apple Bread Pudding, Oatmeal Raisin Streusel, Vanilla Ice Cream using caramel sauce, cinnamelts, apple slices, oatmeal raisin cookies, vanilla ice cream, lemon, milk and eggs from McDonald’s.

Chef Blake from The Rusty Spoon created Charmoula Chicken, Salt and Vinegar Potato Crisp, Pickled Red Onions using McDonald’s chicken and hashbrown.

 

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida’s Appetite for the Arches Fundraising Event is free-flowing event from 7:00-10:00 p.m. In addition to wonderful food, guests will enjoy:
