Next month my twin daughters will be celebrating their third birthday so I have been searching for some unique and fun treat ideas. During this search my cousin came across something called Cake/Brownie Pops! They are basically little balls of brownie or cake, frozen to a lollipop stick and dipped in chocolate or melted candy. You can then decorate them with sprinkles, if you like.
I never heard of these before, but I thought they would make an interesting favor for party guests to take home. This week, my cousin and I decided to give the Brownie Pops a try and boy were we surprised! They are so delicious and addicting! I couldn’t stop at just one; I think I had three in one sitting. I know these pops will be a huge hit and I wanted to share them with you all.
Below is a video that helped us with the brownie pops.
J (In the video she makes cake pops but the concept is exactly the same for Brownie pops, you just use crumbled brownie instead of cake.)
The following link is the recipe we used to make Brownie pops: http://candy.about.com/od/otherchocolaterecipes/r/brownie_pops.htm
And here is our final result! :o)
Have you ever had Brownie or Cake Pops?
I saw these at a church function a few weeks ago and they were so GOOD! I had been wanting to find the recipe so thanks for posting this!
Angela,
They are delicious! 🙂 I hope you have a great time making these. I love these things and they’re great for kids! My girls think they’re lollipops, so they run around the house asking me for “Mee-pops” (their way of saying Lollipops) all day long.

This was torturous. They look so good. I’m glad I’m too lazy to make them because I’m sure I could eat a whole batch on my own 😉
Mmmmm! Delicious and addictive. I can’t wait to try and make some cake pops. I promise to share. Otherwise, I’m going to eat the whole batch. Thank you so much.
Latinaish & Eva: They are very good! You ladies would love them! 🙂 I almost ate the whole batch myself but my girls wouldn’t let that happen..lol

Very easy and they look so good! Thank you for sharing! 🙂
they look so cute and I bet they are delicious , yummi!
They look so yummy, but I certainly could not make them at home cuz I’d eat them all! So I’ll just enjoy the pics and purchase them when I see them… Great idea for a kids’ party!
HOLY! This is awesome!!! Crafty foods sometimes scare me, so it’s great to see how truly easy it actually is! Thank you for adding this video!! 🙂
These look amazing! Though I am with Aurelia – I would not make these, my son would never have the opportunity to eat them. I’d devour them all 🙂
Yummy! I would eat each and every one of those in a weekend…but with a glass of white wine lol. What can I say? Until I have children I have no one to give these sweets to so I will just eat them myself 🙂
My mouth is watering! I had never heard of cake pops or brownie pops, and now I can’t wait to share this with my tía and primitas! Thanks!
Abrazos.
With cooler weather around the corner, it means more clothes which means bring on the sweets =)
