Growing up in Brooklyn, New York to Cuban and Puerto Rican parents, music was part of my daily life. I learned and heard various musical genres including opera, classical, salsa, merengue and folk.  Music is very essential and an important aspect in most Latino households – its part of our culture and who we are.
