iDevices Kitchen Thermometer Review – Helpful Kitchen Tool

I like cooking, but I don’t always like to be waiting around in the kitchen. If you’re like me, you will love the Kitchen Thermometer by iDevices.

Before using, you must pull the top of the unit up from the base and then insert the enclosed batteries. The two AA batteries are to provide approximately 200 hours of cooking. The smart display will only light up when you come within range to save battery life.
Once the batteries are installed, the unit will automatically power on. If you allow time to lapse, it will power off and then you just need to press and hold the power button again. Search for iDevices on your phone or tablet and install the free iDevices Connected app from either the Apple Store or Google Play.
Turn on Bluetooth® and allow your phone to sync with the thermometer.
A notification will appear on your phone when syncing has been completed. The app will also ask that you register your iDevices product. It will take about another minute or you can request a reminder later to complete registration or if you so desire, select not to register your new iDevices product. The iDevices Connected app can also provide you with recipes for inspiration and allows you to share your latest creation on social media.
There is the option to select Fahrenheit or Celsius to customize your temperature readings.
You can now see the temperature reading on your mobile device. A split screen would appear if two probes are being used.
The white plastic portion is the probe wrap and it must be removed before placing your probe insert in the oven.
Thank goodness the probe cable can be neatly wrapped around the probe wrap to avoid this tangled mess lying around!
The smart display is set near the stove while the probe and cable are exposed to the high heat inside the oven.
The chicken isn’t done yet, but you can see how the thermometer is working. Back in the oven it goes until done.
When the preset or custom temperature is reached, the mobile device will sound an alarm. You can be up to 150 feet away while dinner cooks to perfection. J It has a smart range of -22°to 572°F.
The smart display has a built-in magnet so it can go almost anywhere to make storage a breeze. It is also equipped with reversible viewing angles for easy reading.
If you place the optional magnetic disc on the probe wrap, the two wraps actually snap together and can be tucked in a drawer or placed on a magnetic surface for storage.
