Hello everyone! My name is Gabie and I am a single mother of two sets of twins and a survivor of domestic violence . I started blogging four years ago, when I was a military spouse and I was looking to connect with other moms of twins. I previously had another blog, “FromtheFrontline.com”, which I wrote about life as a military spouse with multiples. Where I was stationed with my family, there were very few military spouses who had twins, and I felt like no one understood the unique challenges I faced daily. Through blogging I met so many amazing people from all over the country and I was in awe of the amount of support I received from my blogging family.
During that time I started writing for Mami of Multiples and my column was called From the Frontline With Gabrielle Morel. I also volunteered in the military community as a Key Caller and FRG Leader and was awarded twice for my volunteerism.
Unfortunately, I had to stop writing for two years, because my soon to be ex-husband and I had a very ugly split, which took up pretty much every free moment I had. After 5 long years, my marriage ended and with it my old blog as well.
My children and I are finally settled and I am ready to get my blog and column back up and running! My column will now be called Motivational Mami with Gabie Ocasio. As I begin my life and blogging over again, my focus remains the same…to reach out to women and provide resources. Single mothers, married mothers, mothers of multiples, or survivors of domestic violence, my goals are to not only provide resources but to motivate fellow Moms!
Motivational Mami with Gabie Ocasio, will be a regular parenting, family lifestyle and travel contribution. (I will also be the Northeast Family and Travel Contributing Columnist for Mami of Multiples.) My new column will offer advice, tips, resources and inspirational motivation on a range of topics including, family living, parenting (two sets of twins as a single parent) and being a Latina Mami.
In addition to my Mami of Multiples’ column, I am started a new blog called Gabie & Kids. (My latest post is about “How to stay sane when your twins start school“ since my identical twin daughters will be starting Kindergarten this year.)

Thank you very much. It is very important to me to raise more awareness about Domestic Violence. The only way to stop Domestic Violence is to talk about it, otherwise the abuse will never stop. I want to do whatever I can to help other women.
