Charmin’s Sit or Squat Back-To-School Edition Nook HD Tablet Giveaway #SitorSquat

As summer is coming to a close and the back to school season is in full swing, there will be many school related activities and events to attend.  (My 10th grade teen son and kindergarten identical twin boys started school during these last two weeks.)

After school sports, clubs, meetings, practices, rehearsals and more will require families to log a lot of miles driving and transporting.  When you are on the road with the kids the unavoidable “I need to go to the bathroom” occurs.  Thanks to Charmin, parents (and anyone) can find a restroom on their mobile device when they’re out and about with the Sit or Squat app.

The free app allows users to share information on the availability, quality and cleanliness of public restrooms in cities across the country. The app now includes features and information about locations, ratings, photos and helpful hints for more than 125,000 public bathrooms throughout the United States. Sit or Squat allows users to find restrooms with specific features, i.e., changing tables and handicap access etc. Users can add a new location and then rate their experience by designating that restroom as a “Sit” (for an enjoyable bathroom) or a “Squat” (for a restroom that could be better), based on the cleanliness and overall experience.

  1. Geez I wish i knew about this app before I moved to a different state, I moved from Florida to Texas 3 weeks ago and it was hard to find restrooms. So I so could have used this app to help me find one especially when there was six of us in the car lol I love your blog I have been reading your blog for a few months now and I love it! 😀

This really would have been great when my family and I moved from Florida to Texas, I went to several rest stops that I would have proffered to used the woods then some of the bathrooms, but no worries I didn’t use the woods I was to scared. I have to go back to Florida, so I will definitely download this app. I can use it in town also being new here and Texas is all highways so a clean rest stop is a must.

  43. I might use the app but when you have a kid, crying they have to go, you have to take what you can find, clean or not 🙂 I’m a newer reader, only about 6 weeks.

  44. I will be downloading this app today. My son will refuse to use certain bathrooms, he won’t cry or fuss, he will just walk in and say “Nope, I’ll wait and go somewhere else”. During errands we often travel to find restrooms if he has to go, or make a pit stop to the closest friend or family members house LoL. Definitely need this app. I am a new reader, about a month now 🙂

    I would definitely use this app on my travels. Heck, I’d use it for local bathrooms. I’m the type that has to go like every 5 minutes so I’ve been in more bathrooms than restaurants in my life.
