What a perfect name
Everything about this kit to the decorated cupcakes is cute. The packaging is very detailed, even the top has these neat cupcakes that overlap to close the box. You can tell the company puts a lot of thought into these products.
Cupcake Cuties has 33 different designs for your cupcake decorating pleasure. With that many options, the possibilities are endless! I think these cupcakes are perfect for a birthday party, baby shower, holiday celebration, and even a wedding. Yes, they even have wedding decoration kits!
The decorating kit that I received was “Baby Face.” As you can see from the picture above, it was really simple to decorate the cupcake. This is not one of those products where the finished result looks nothing like the image, they portray on the box. These cupcakes will turn out exactly like the cupcakes on the box, and it is not difficult at all!
Above, is a photo of everything the kit includes; 24 sleeves, the frosting dye, instructions, and licorice for the topping. They do not include the cupcakes. Sorry readers. 🙂 You’ll have to bake your own or pick some already made cupcakes up, at the bakery or store. The instructions were very easy to follow, so it didn’t take me long to decorate my cupcakes. This kit is so simple and straight forward, you could decorate the cupcakes with your child(ren).

One thing I would have liked is if they had included a dropper, for the food coloring. I had no idea how much dye to use and how to get it out of the jar. I didn’t want to pour the dye out and end up using too much. I decided to use a toothpick to add dye to my frosting. I dyed the frosting in small batches, just in case I had frosting left over. I didn’t want all of my frosting to be peach colored. I do think a dropper would have been a bit more convenient than a toothpick. 🙂

Other than the food coloring, everything else was smooth sailing. The sleeve and licorice topped the cupcakes perfectly. 🙂 My taste tester, my Husband, loved the cupcakes and the finished look. I try to avoid giving my daughters too many sweets, so I don’t have their opinions to include in my review. They did love the box and the sleeves; I caught them trying to use the sleeves as bracelets. Overall, I am very satisfied with this kit. I would love to see the baby face sleeves, in different races in the future; perhaps a Hispanic, African American, and/or Asian baby. I also think it’s a great price for the amount of cupcakes it decorates. I would definitely buy these kits for my children’s birthdays, and I would recommend them to others.

  4. Great review Gabrielle! The product would be really helpful when you want to make something fun but don’t have the time….like when your child tells you at the last possible moment that you need to make 40 cupcakes for a bake sale at school. 🙂 LOL

    Its nice that there are sleeve choices for most occassions to choose from.
