Get Summer and 4th of July Ready at BJ’s Wholesale Club

in brands, entertainment, families, food, savings, shopping on 07/01/11

With my home being filled with boys, who constantly need everything from electronics to food, we are big fans of BJ’s Wholesale Club.  As a busy mom (to a teen and toddler twin boys), wife and business owner, I thrive on savings and convenience.  Being able to find household items, clothing, books, food and more at one location helps me with time management and to remain budget conscious.  BJ’s Wholesale Club is the only warehouse club to accept manufacturers’ coupons from newspapers and online. In addition to accepting manufacturers’ coupons, BJ’s also issues its own coupons, which is a huge incentive to becoming a member.

BJ’s Wholesale Club is a one-stop shopping destination for name brand, high-quality food and merchandise at prices that are significantly lower than supermarkets, supercenters, department stores, drug stores and specialty retail stores.  Nationwide BJ’s Clubs are stocked with summer and 4th of July essentials to help with outdoor entertaining, summer vacations, and grilling.  According to the Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association, “82 percent of all U.S. households own a grill and 45 percent grill at least one to two times a week during the summer.”  BJ’s Wholesale Club’s 2011 Outdoor Entertaining Collection provides all of your must-have items for hosting the ultimate stylish summertime soiree on a budget and under $20!

Having moved to Florida last year from up North I can attest that Key Lime Pie is a Floridian favorite.  The classic, southern dessert has a smooth, creamy center and a crunchy graham cracker crust.  For a limited time, all Florida BJ’s are offering Members the summer favorite Key Lime Pie in the Bakery Department.
BJ’s traditional Key Lime Pie is made with the finest ingredients including Nellie & Joe’s Key Lime Juice.  This hometown favorite is a great addition to any family picnic or outdoor barbeque.  Additionally, the BJ’s Bakery Department has introduced to all clubs a new collection of patisserie-quality baked goods including Lemon-Raspberry Whoopie Pies, Wellsley Farms® Blueberry Peach Crisp and Lemon Cupcakes.  Having an array of baked goods in my mind is a necessary aspect for great summer dining and entertaining, especially for those of us with a sweet tooth! 🙂
With this weekend being 4th of July, families across the nation are preparing to celebrate a national holiday and spend time with loved ones.  Just in time for 4th of July BBQs BJ’s Wholesale Club has partnered with multiple vendors to offer a free box of Bubba Burgers (12 count) and a chance to win a $1000 BJ’s Gift Card!  When you purchase any 5 of the 11 items listed below you get a free box of Bubba Burgers with the coupon at the front of the club.  Members are automatically entered into sweepstakes with their purchase for a chance to win a $1,000 BJ’s gift card.
Non-Members and Trial Members (using the Free 60-day Trial Membership), must send a postage-paid, 3 ½” x 5 1/2 “postcard with their name, complete address, daytime phone number, a valid email address, and the words BJ’s All-American Summer Sweepstakes to BJ’s Big Game Sweepstakes, c/o The Marketing Agency, P.O. Box 39709, Fort Lauderdale, FL  33339-9709.  (The offer rules for the sweepstakes are posted on www.bjs.com/rules.)
BJ’s Wholesale Club is offering a Free 60-Day Trial Membership which can be activated until next Tuesday, July 5th.  The risk-free, trial membership includes full member benefits including savings and no surcharge.

The holidays can be beautiful… but for many grieving parents — especially special needs parents — this season hurts in ways most people never see.

Between disrupted routines, sensory overload, and the ache of missing someone you love, December can feel overwhelming. And here’s what most don’t realize:

Nearly HALF of Christians stop attending church after losing a loved one… not because they’ve lost their faith, but because they feel the church doesn’t know how to walk with them through grief.
These families aren’t leaving God —
they’re leaving because they feel unseen in their pain.

As someone who advocates for families of ALL abilities, I’m sharing a new blog post today on how we can support grieving loved ones — especially special needs parents — with compassion, faith, and presence this holiday season.

If someone in your life is grieving, please don’t stay silent.
Say their loved one’s name.
Offer specific help.
Create space for their emotions.
Pray with them.
Walk with them — gently, consistently, faithfully.

Because no parent should have to grieve alone during the holidays.

🏆 Earlier this week, I was once again filled with thankfulness, love, and faith.
🏆 I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Home Health Care USA for naming me the “Latina American Caregiver of the Year!”
🏆 Caregivers are among the unsung heroes in our society, and there are many different types of caregivers. For instance, the “Sandwich Generation” refers to individuals who are caring for both their aging parents and their children simultaneously. These caregivers often provide physical, emotional, and financial support. More than 50% of Americans in their 40s and 50s are currently caring for both their children and their senior parents—and usually without any help from extended family.
🏆 Some caregivers dedicate their entire lives to caring for a child—or children—with disabilities into adulthood. Unfortunately, many caregiving parents or family members do not get a break or have quality time for themselves. About 50% of couples with special needs or neurodiverse children end up getting divorced.
🏆 Having experienced both of these caregiving situations and still living within them, being named “Latina American Caregiver of the Year” means more to me than just an award. It symbolizes the millions of unpaid caretakers across the country who provide loving, effective care for family members or friends.
🏆 I also want to extend my gratitude to all those who have followed my caregiving journey the past 17 years, including my care for my beloved late parents and my superhero, Joshua, on my social channels, Mami of Multiples, and Dr. Joscelyn Ramos Campbell. The BEST is yet to come! 🙌
🌎 Lastly, congratulations to all my fellow winners standing on stage. Your work in your communities helps make the world a better place!
