We have been celebrating the official designation of Hispanic Heritage Month these past few weeks on M.O.M. “Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America” as stated by the Library of Congress.
Recently, we visited our local Best Buy as part of the #MiCultura joint effort initiative between Best Buy and some of its key vendor partners to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Best Buy has over 1,000 stores in the US with Spanish-speaking sales associates in more than 300 locations. With having my eldest son entering 9th grade as a freshman in high school this year, we use technology to assist him to complete his school assignments requirements. The HP Printer OJPro 8600 has very helpful (and school friendly) features – print, fax, copy, scan and wireless printing from mobile devices – which are needed for most educational projects.
My son recently had to create a creative tourism project about Washington D.C. for his 9th grade Geography and World History class. With having lived in (and my son being born) in the Washington D.C. Metro area for most of the last decade, he wanted to add family pictures (of our time in the D.C. area) in addition to the stats required.
